Join us for the Burning Hearts Conference on the 12th to the 14th of June, 2026, at the beautiful Minor Basilica of St. Anne in Bukit Mertajam.
Open to those between the ages of 18-40, this conference is a sacred invitation to encounter the Lord and build lasting connections with fellow Catholics from near and far. Together, our faith comes alive through prayer, the sacarements, fellowship, and the joy of community.
Together, we will encounter and draw strength from the Sacred Heart of Jesus, seek the grace of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and find inspiration in the Chaste Heart of St. Joseph.
Come and be part of this life-changing experience! Let your heart be set ablaze so that, together, we can go forth as missionary disciples to set the world on fire for Christ.
Rooted in the powerful words of St. Catherine of Siena, the Burning Hearts Conference aims to help you discover your unique place in the Church. Whether you are seeking clarity in your personal discernment or looking to deepen your understanding of the universal call to holiness and mission, this conference is designed to ignite the fire of God’s love within you.

Spiritual Growth & Sacramental Encounter
Draw strength from the very heart of our faith as we participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, find healing in Eucharistic Adoration, and lift our voices in Praise and Worship. There will also be dedicated time for personal reflection to encounter the Lord in the depths of your soul.
Fellowship in the Joy of Community
Experience the beauty of the Church of today. This is a time to build lasting connections with fellow Catholic youth and young adults. Together, we find strength in our shared faith and the joy of walking toward Christ as one community.

Brenda is a counselor with a heart for journeying alongside others in faith and mental well-being. One of her greatest joys is witnessing people grow into who Christ created them to be. She is passionate about walking with others through life’s ups and downs, creating spaces for healing, growth, and authentic connection in Christ. One of her deepest encounters with Jesus has been learning to trust that He is who He says He is—and that He is always faithful. In her free time, you’ll find her journaling, reading, or simply sitting with Jesus in adoration.
Sophia Goh grew up in a Catholic family, and first encountered Jesus in the Eucharist at 17 years old. In university, doing on-campus ministry, she discerned an invitation from Christ to do full-time youth pastoral work in a parish, before being called to move to Penang into full-time ministry with The Seeds Ministry. In her free time, you can find her cooking, talking to friends, at Adoration, climbing, or reading! She’s excited to share how meeting & living with Jesus continues to be the source of hope & new life in her family.

Roeshan Gomez has been actively serving in youth ministry for over 17 years and as a catechist for more than 15. He currently serves on the Parish Pastoral Council, Catechist Core Team and the Youth Discernment Team at St. Ignatius Church, Petaling Jaya. Roeshan resonates deeply with Jeremiah 20:9 (“His word is like a fire shut up in my bones…”), which basically means he can’t not talk about Jesus. He’s passionate about preaching the kerygma or the core Gospel message and helping people see the beauty of the Church that’s already here, but maybe just hidden behind old pews and PowerPoint slides. Expect heart, humour, and maybe a holy rant or two.
